celebrityscraps | November 2, 2007Timothy Olyphant may have been excellent in Deadwood, but many are doubtful he’ll be a convincing Agent 47 in the upcoming Hitman movie.
His baby face doesn’t do much to inspire confidence, and the fact that he wasn’t at all familiar with the games doesn’t help, either, but as a recent interview with IGN reveals, that doesn’t mean he didn’t give the role some serious thought. In fact, he thinks his lack of familiarity with the source material was beneficial:
“The filmmaker’s a real big fan of the game going in. I was not familiar with it at all, so I really came at it from a fresh look. The script in front of me was my primary focus of the story that they handed me. We had a lovely combination of, on one hand, to be respectful of the source material and, on the other hand, not be a slave to it but be inspired by it.”
