<description>I readily admit to being optimistic in the hopes of obtaining the first photo, so we could all analyze it (long before a long wait to September 1st). For a few hours early on August 12, I was intrigued. I have not edited any of my blog entries to diminish my postings' hopeful tones. But my position has been clear about this being a hoax, since ten minutes after I published the first "body in a box" photo at 9:29 pm on Tuesday, August 12, and then I received and updated Cryptomundo with the photo of the costume that matched the "body."

It is a hoax.

For the record:

Loren Coleman, a prolific writer on the Sasquatch, Yeti and other mysterious creatures, said he thinks this is going to be one of the biggest Bigfoot stories of the decade, even it turns out to be hoax.

When it comes to the alleged creature, he says he doesn't use the word "believe."

"I accept or deny evidence [misquote deleted]," he said.

With this one body found in Georgia, however, it's "99 percent a hoax and 1 percent a probability of reality," he said.

But he's still excited about the alleged discovery.

"I'll never turn down a chance to look at a body because it could be real, and we can't choose the accident of history...The most undesirable people might be the ones to discover it, but who am I to judge them."

Loren Coleman, the author of a number of Bigfoot books, who has closely followed Biscardi and watched what he has skeptically called the "Georgia Gorilla" discovery, described the press conference as a carnival show.

"Biscardi is a Las Vegas promoter and a showman, and he's doing it again," Coleman said. "That's what he's really good at. It's like, 'Would you like to come into my tent? I'll show you this one picture. Isn't that interesting? Pay me to see more.'"
...
"He's already gone through several hoaxes," Coleman said. "We always say, 'This is the end of Biscardi. He's never coming back.' I mean, the man has nine lives."

"This body has little to do with Bigfoot and everything to do with a Sasquatch costume that someone developed after watching too many gorilla movies," warns Loren Coleman, who runs the influential Cryptomundo blog devoted to strange and unknown animals. "The teeth that seem to have been placed in the mouth could be my late mother's false teeth."
